Leading up to homecoming, BHHS’ students participate in spirit week. To end the fun week of dressing up, on Friday, students rep their Bobcat spirit to kick off Homecoming weekend! Students wear red, white, and blue and other Byram gear to show off their spirit. On Friday, there will be an in-school pep rally in which freshmen, sophomores, juniors, and seniors will go to the gym for a period of cheering, games, and cheerleading and band performances. In addition to these fun activities, all of the fall sports teams will be called down one at a time to go to the center of the floor and show off their team’s cheer.
After asking sophomore Carly Sperber what she remembered about last year’s pep rally, she exclaimed, “It was so crazy! Everyone was up on their feet and cheering for all the teams. The seniors and juniors were battling it out. I’m so excited for this Friday.”
In addition to the cheering and performances, many fun games will be played at this year’s pep rally. According to Mr. Hubbs, we should expect to see games such as Hula Hoop Pass, Hungry Hippos, and an all-time favorite, the Scooter Race! Freshmen, sophomores, juniors, and seniors – get ready to come together as a class and face each other in great events! The pep rally this year is going to be so much fun, so get excited!
